DESIGN TRAIN KEYNOTE: COLIN BURNS (Elmwood)

The keynote speaker at the Design Train: Communicating the Value of Design workshop was Colin Burns from Elmwood.

Colin was appointed Director of Elmwood in 2010. He is based in Edinburgh and is a Visiting Professor for both the University of Dundee and Glasgow School or Art. Prior to his appointment at Elmwood, where he is in charge of management of the agency and client responsibilities, he worked for 7 years as an independent creative consultant. He spent much of his career working at IDEO – the international design consultancy, famous for it’s user-centred, interdisciplinary approach. During his 10 years at IDEO he worked in California & Germany, as well as the UK. At IDEO, he held the posts Global Head of Interaction Design and the Head of IDEO London.
