RSSDEVON DESIGN BUDDIES TO HELP STUDENTS
Designers from across Devon have gathered in Plymouth at the launch of a ground-breaking initiative called Design Buddy.
ALTITUDE HELP TO REAWAKE A SLEEPING LION
One of the world's best known brand nams - Holiday Inn - is undertaking the biggest relaunch in the history of the hospitality industry. Altitude Design, based in Plymouth, is helping to ensure new brand standards are applied to individual websites, promotions, digital and advertising materials across the group.
TRAINING FOR DESIGNERS IN DEVON & CORNWALL
Following the successful Design Train programme last Autumn we're delighted to be rolling out some more courses across the South West in the Spring. We will be running 3 courses in Plymouth for Designers based in Devon and Cornwall.
PLYMOUTH WORKS OFFERS HELP TO BUSINESSES
The initiative aims to assist Micro SMEs (i.e. employing fewer than 10 people) in providing job opportunities for young people who have left full time education, but have not yet found work. Each person has been provided with pre-employment support (training, skills assessment and career guidance) by Connexions.
BEYOND THE PITCH - FREE 2 DAY WORKSHOP
Pitching is only 15% of the process your company will go through with clients to win business. The BBC in association with Plymouth Media-Partnership and Media Sauce is offering 10 Digital Media companies in the South West an opportunity to attend an intensive workshop on the whole sales process which will be held over 2 days on the 13th & 14th January at Tamar Science Park in Plymouth.
ATTENTION PLYMOUTH - Christmas Arty Party
A networking and information day on 1st December at TR2 in Cattedown, from 10:30 to 4:30. The day is to inform and update Plymouth's growing Creative Economy on the developments in the sector, with input from Arts Council England, Plymouth City Council and the City Development Company
MA IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR CREATIVE PRACTICE
A reminder that this exciting new, part-time, Masters course starts in January at Plymouth College of Art. Alastair Fuad-Luke has recently been appointed to lead the programme.
PLYMOUTH ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN SOCIETY
This Society and its evening meetings are organised by the students of the School of 3D Design and Architecture at the University of Plymouth. The University have invited DiD members to attend the meetings if interested. The cost is minimal.
