FURNITURE DESIGNERS SOUGHT FOR CHINA TRADE MISSION
UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), British Consulate-General Guangzhou is organising a furniture design outward mission to Dongguan and Shenzhen from 15th to 20th March 2010. The mission is designed as a platform for UK designers and design companies to expand their network, to bring attention to their creativity, and most importantly to explore business opportunities in Southern China.

Local leading lights from the creative industries were out in force at the launch of the new Gloucestershire Design Network (GDN). The evening event, which took place at the trendy D-Fly Bar in Cheltenham, attracted around 35 invited guests. A unique collaboration between the UK's creative agencies including South West Screen and the BBC brings the Village Screen to Glastonbury for the first time this year. The screen will be used to showcase the work of some of the best new film making talent, virals, music promos, digital artists, VJs and games developers from the South West and the UK to over 177 000 people.
