Key Skills
I have been working as a professional photographer for over 20 years. I am based in Bristol but work all over the UK and abroad.
In recent years I have also been pursuing my career as a photographic artist, having had exhibitions in the UK and overseas. I completed an MA in documentary photography at University of Wales, Newport in 2007. I recently won the Conceptual and Constructed category (Fine Art section) of the Sony World Photography Awards in Cannes 2009 for my series, Living with Wolfie. My first publication, Transient Beauty was launched in 2008 and a Parisian publisher will publish the series, Living with Wolfie. I am soon to be represented by the Michael Hoppen gallery in London.
My commercial practice mainly consist of people and lifestyle photographs, predominantly in the not for profit sector. I work very well with non models to acheive natural and spontaneous images. I make the people I work with feel very relaxed and this shows in the images. Because of my art practice, the photographic frame itself is highly crafted, using lighting and form to create beautful and timeless images.
