Prior to studying Art & Design I worked as a specialist nurse within hospitals and community settings; a catalyst for much of my current work. This ‘unheimlich’ backdrop of experiences and influences shaped the way I view art and society. This is reflected in my concepts, or choice of materials and processes. These often involve highly engineered materials such as springs, tubing and packaging.

My work is not couched in any one practice: I employ CAD, print, photography, collage, stitch, sculpture and installation.
I am available for commissions and produce art panels suitable for interiors/ exteriors and sculptural suspensions.

Exploring the quality of the line of the stitch and its ability to float and travel between transparent layers, creating an optical illusion. Using the repetitive hypnotic rhythm of brightly coloured silk stitches, to provide a harmonious chord linking tradition and innovation.

I Graduated in 2010 with a First Class Honours Degree in Textile Design for Fashion & Interiors and was awarded the Bath School of Art & Design Purchase Prize. In 2011 I accepted the position of Director of Stroud International Textiles, and was awarded the Rococo Garden Trustee Runner Up Award. I am a member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
