There’s just one week to go until the first Media & Innovation Conference taking place at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth on Thursday 9 June.

At a cost of £45 to include buffet lunch and refreshments throughout the day, tickets are selling fast. Registration for the conference is still open and places can be booked at: www.mediainnovationconference.com/register.aspx
The 2011 conference will focus on future demand for media, changing technology and the challenge for businesses to deliver innovative products and services. Leading industry experts will offer advice on consumer trends and new technology; and a practical workshop will give delegates tools to help them develop a culture of innovation in their own businesses.

An exceptional line up of conference speakers includes:
• Fraser Bradshaw (Managing Director of McCann Erickson Bristol).
• Chris Yapp (ex Head of Innovation for Microsoft and now an Independent Consultant working in technology and futures thinking).
• Jane Young (Technology Entrepreneur and founder of Scramblr).
• Adam Powers (BBC Head of User Experience & Design for Branded Experiences).
• Ben Tomlinson (Creative Director of Poke where his clients include Orange, Manchester City Football Club and Tic Tac).
• Clare Reddington (Pervasive Media Studio).
• David Burton (Head of Innovation at Redweb).
• Jennifer Hills (Twofour)
• Ella Romanos (Remode).
• Matt Hatch (MD of Mubaloo).
• Patrick Towell (Golant Media Ventures).

The fifth annual Media & Innovation Awards ceremony will be held that evening at the Plymouth Holiday Inn, and discounted combined tickets for the events are available now.

The Media & Innovation Conference and Awards are run in association with Sony and are part-funded by the Creative Industries iNet (Innovation Network), a programme of support designed to help the south west’s creative businesses thrive and advance the region’s growing reputation as a global creative centre of excellence. The Creative Industries iNet is part of the Government’s Solutions for Business portfolio, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and led by South West Screen.
