RICS -The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has launched a new website www.ricsimagebank.org which offers designers a comprehensive library of royalty-free architectural images depicting relevant land, property, construction and built environment areas at a fraction of the price of current high profile image libraries.

The website features architectural images that are iconic, eye-catching and affordable. RICS hopes that designers will use the website as a one-stop shop for industry specific images.

Says RICS brand manager Zarna Amin “Our image bank consolidates images from around the world covering every continent, providing relevant architectural images for our members as well as for the general public.

“Over the years we have been contacted by members and non-members looking to source property related images but there was no simple way for them to research and view our library – now there is.

“We have spent time creating a website which is clean, crisp and easy to navigate. Each image is simply categorised and, once selected, is available as a high resolution royalty-free download for web or print.”

RICS will be regularly adding more images to the website and will soon be launching a ‘contribute your own’ section to further increase the variety of images on offer. Here members and non-members will be able to upload industry specific images and will receive a percentage of the fee once the image is sold.

Continues Zarna: “Our aim is to offer an image purchase portal that not only offers a competitive purchase price but also cuts out a lot of the time that designers would spend searching for more general image websites for property specific images.”
