Creative companies are invited to an event that will highlight the importance of using motion graphics to designers, showing them that creating engaging and entertaining pieces of work using this innovative technique is part of the future of their industry.
Designers in the Bath and Bristol region are being encouraged to book now for the Motion Graphics Lecture, which is on Wednesday 23rd February at Arnolfini in Bristol, from 7-10pm.

Building on the success of last year’s Illustrators Event, The West of England Design Forum have invited five speakers, each of whom is a key player in this exciting and evolving area of design, to come and discuss their work with the audience. The speakers each have 15 minutes to profile their companies and showcase their work. There will also be a Q&A session.
Speaking at the event will be Jack Laurence from Moving Brands, whose aim is to redefine branding by setting new standards of creativity for a moving world. Clients include Swisscom, Mindshare, Nokia Siemens Networks and The London College of Fashion.
Also speaking is Shane Walter, from onedotzero, a London-based moving image and digital arts organisation which commissions, showcases and promotes innovation across all aspects of moving image, digital and interactive arts.
Charlie Mawer, from Red Bee Media will also speak. Recent work he has led has included the identities of BBC One and BBC Three, the complete network rebranding of UKTV including the IPA gold winning creation of Dave, Discovery International, Orange IPTV, Bibigon, Star News India, and RTE.
Joining the speakers will be Matthew Rudd from Rudd Studio, who build and develop new and existing brands, focusing equally on motion, print and sound. Matt played a big part in the evolution of the Channel 4 brand. Other clients include Laurence King Publishing, Friends of the Earth and Sky Italia.
Finally, PK, from The Mill, which collaborates on award-winning moving image, design and digital projects for the advertising, film, TV, games and music industries. Twenty years of innovation has established The Mill as a recognised global brand for creating seamless visual effects, but also leaders in design, animation, live action content direction, VFX brand accounts, versioning and global adaptations, digital content creation and distribution.
