Karen Stockdale, from the Media & Innovation Awards said: “We are delighted to be hosting a major event in the South West, that will enable us to put the spotlight on the world-class creative companies based in the region.”

Last year, TwoFour, who are based in Plymouth, worked with Exeter Family Friendly to create a website that would engage with young families and increase their understanding of family and home insurance issues.

The website is unlike any other insurance website, as the products and services are presented within the creative context of a family kitchen to reinforce their accessibility and the role they can play in minimising the cost and impact of ill health on the family.

It also uses intuitive graphical interfaces to increase the level of consumer involvement, and all policy documentation and correspondence between the customer and Exeter Family is stored electronically in an online safe that is accessed from within the online kitchen.

Andrea Kinsman, Project Manager at TwoFour, said: “The benefits of winning at the Media & Innovation Awards are not just for the winning company but for the individuals involved in the particular project. Winning raises everyone’s profile and recognises talented individuals. For the designer and flash developer, winning the award is something they can reference as individuals and be proud of. It’s a real morale booster.”

Her advice for next years competitors is: “Ensure your project is unique and compelling, with a sound purpose for its creation.”
