YOU have the first-hand experience and knowledge to which all design students aspire, so you can begin to shape the future health of our industry and your own business.

Funded by Universities South West and the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship, this initiative is being run in collaboration with 3 Universities: Bath Spa, Plymouth and Arts University College Bournemouth. The scheme will give final year students an industry buddy to help them understand the industry, develop their portfolios and hone their skills.

Enrolling as a Design Buddy can signficantly help to close the graduate skill gap without committing to employment or work placement, and without even leaving your business premises.

The scheme is open to all Senior Design professionals. All you have to do to become an official South West Design Buddy is commit to giving four 1-hour sessions with a design student over the next year. We will even give you the training you need and suggest the subject areas to discjuss in each of your sessions.
