Korash will work with creative companies from across the South West connected to the iNet programme, to broker targeted support and develop business solutions to help them innovate and flourish across the sector. The Broker’s role is to help to support high growth SME’s involved in the projects through consultation, business development and capitalisation of intellectual property, in turn raising the profile of the region’s digital creative industries globally.
Korash has been working in digital media innovation since 2003, founding graduate start-up company HMC Interactive, which made a name for itself by fusing science, art and technology to deliver innovative bespoke experiences worldwide. HMC has since delivered interactive multimedia products for a wide range of industries from education to entertainment and beyond, working with agencies to create high quality digital media for public or private spaces.
In 2007 Korash oversaw the acquisition of HMC by TwoFour Group and for two years, used his international network to build it into a leading force for interactive software development in the UK. In 2009, Korash moved on new challenges and became Managing Director of Chew TV, working for the past year and half to develop the company into a sustainable social enterprise that helped cultivate emerging talent in film and animation from across the UK and beyond.
Korash sits on the board of The South West Design Forum, and is Chairman of the cluster group Designed in Devon. Korash is also juror for the Europrix Multimedia Awards, helping decide the best young and emerging talent under 30 in multimedia across Europe yearly. He is visiting lecturer at Newport School of Art Design & Media, The University of Plymouth and The University of Lincoln, focusing his subject matter on commercialisation of experience and interaction software and how to develop new business models from innovative technologies and cross disciplinary teams.
Korash said; “Having a passion for seeing the South West grow as a recognised area for digital innovation, I see my involvement in the iNet as an opportunity to continue to make a difference to the digital creative landscape. In this new role as iNet Broker, I will be able to highlight the talent and potential that exists in the region, and to build on its global presence. I’m looking forward to connecting businesses to essential resources they need to develop products and services, and adding value to iNet projects wherever I can along the way.”

Caroline Norbury, Chief Executive of South West Screen said; “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Korash on board the Creative Industries iNet. With his varied experience and background in culturing innovation, start up support and incubation, we are sure he will be a fantastic addition that will help businesses get even more out of iNet support.”

Dr John Richardson, Business Link iNet Project Manager, sees the Broker as being critical to the success of the iNet. “Korash is the lynch-pin between the Creative Industries iNet and the other business support agencies, ensuring that the iNet business members can access all available government backed support services, thereby maximising both value and impact.“

The Creative Industries iNet is a £3.2 million programme of support designed to help the South West’s creative businesses thrive and advance the area’s growing reputation as a global creative centre of excellence. Working with both emerging and established companies, the iNet is developing bold products and business models, exploring new opportunities and ideas, and connecting creatives to a community of innovators across the South West and around the world.

The Creative Industries iNet is part of the government’s Solutions for Business portfolio and led by South West Screen, with funding from the South West European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Competitiveness programme and grants from numerous other regional organisations.
